About

With nearly 20 years in the field, Rachelle Bennett brings deep experience and a collaborative spirit to every fundraising challenge she takes on. Her background spans a wide range of sectors, including health, education, human services, and international development. Rachelle is skilled in campaign planning and management, major gift strategy, volunteer engagement, donor materials development, and prospect research.

Before joining Compass, Rachelle served as Area Managing Director at ALSAC/St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, where she led fundraising efforts across Northern Illinois and Wisconsin and worked closely with the African American Engagement Committee. She also spent several years with Americares, an international health and disaster relief nonprofit, where she managed major donor relationships throughout the Midwest, in addition to overseeing the Americares Chicago Council and partnerships with corporate and foundation stakeholders.

Rachelle previously held fundraising roles at the Indiana University Foundation and CCS Fundraising. At IU Foundation, she worked with alumni and donors as part of the Regional Development Team during the university’s $3.5 billion For All campaign. At CCS, she partnered with clients on feasibility studies and managed campaigns in excess of $25 million.

Rachelle earned her Master of Public Affairs from the O’Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs and holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies and Nonprofit Management, both from Indiana University.
