Kathleen Gaines is a senior fundraising executive with more than 30 years of experience elevating organizations’ infrastructure to meet their fundraising goals.  Her expertise is in nonprofit organizational structure and management including comprehensive assessment and evaluation of development programs; philanthropic market analysis; strategic planning for fundraising; and design and implementation of effective development systems. Through her consultation, Kathleen has helped a broad group of nonprofit organizations across the environmental, healthcare, education, and social services sectors.

Prior to sharing her expertise as a consultant, Kathleen served in leadership development positions for sophisticated higher education institutions including the University of Maryland, Duke University Medical Center, Iowa State University, Berry College, and Michigan State University. Kathleen has presented at national conferences sponsored by the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP), the Association of Governing Boards of Colleges and Universities (AGB), the Big 12 Conference, and the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE).

Kathleen holds a Bachelor’s degree from the Michigan State University College of Social Sciences.
