About

With two decades of experience in fundraising and nonprofit strategy, Mindy brings a thoughtful, collaborative approach to every engagement, with a focus on translating strategy into actionable fundraising plans. Her work spans environmental nonprofits, professional associations, national advocacy groups, and faith-based organizations. Mindy’s expertise includes pre-campaign planning and assessment, campaign strategy and launch, annual fund growth, volunteer management, donor relations, and development planning.

Before joining Compass, Mindy served as Senior Director of Principal Giving at the Land Trust Alliance, where she spent six years strengthening and scaling the organization’s individual giving program. She launched a planned giving society, grew principal and mid-level giving, and advised board and staff on fundraising strategy and execution. Her work focused on building the systems, structure, and relationships needed to support long-term philanthropic growth. She also served in a similar capacity at the Colorectal Cancer Alliance, where she expanded unrestricted fundraising, peer-to-peer campaigns, and grateful patient support.

Mindy’s earlier experience included roles at CCS Fundraising, the Trust for the National Mall, and the National Wildlife Federation. As a consultant, she partnered with clients to design and implement campaign strategies, engage boards and leadership, and guide campaigns of varying scale and complexity. In earlier roles, she supported national fundraising efforts, built prospect pipelines, and contributed to the development of major gift and corporate partnership strategies.

Mindy earned her Bachelor of Arts from Allegheny College. She has also held a range of volunteer leadership roles, including serving as board chair of the Charles Koiner Conservancy for Urban Conservation, as a mentor with Streetwise Partners, and as an advisory council member for Girls on the Run.
