Nicholas Scully has more than 35 years of experience in the nonprofit sector with expertise in campaign management and implementation, prospect engagement and cultivation, board training, planned giving, major gift solicitation, donor stewardship, and enrollment management. His fundraising experience encompasses major universities; private colleges; conservation groups; independent, charter and public schools; social service providers; health care facilities; and national fraternities.
Prior to joining The Compass Group, Nick served as the vice president for institutional advancement and athletics at Christian Brothers University in Memphis, Tennessee. He also held several leadership roles, including chief development officer, for Grace-St. Luke’s Episcopal School.
Nick presents regionally and nationally for the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education (CASE), the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) and Noel-Levitz. As a Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE) since 1989, Nick has also taught the CFRE survey course and served as a guest lecturer at the Professional Seminar on Major Gifts Fundraising at Vanderbilt University. Nick’s volunteer service includes boards and advisory councils for numerous regional and national nonprofit organizations. He is also the recipient of a number of awards and recognitions in fundraising and leadership.
Nick earned a Master’s degree with honors from Vanderbilt University with an emphasis in institutional advancement and a Bachelor’s degree from Christian Brothers University.
