About

With more than 30 years of fundraising experience, Molly Hampton maintains a strong understanding of campaign management and implementation, prospect engagement and cultivation, planned giving, major gift solicitation, and donor stewardship.

Prior to joining The Compass Group, Molly served as the senior campaign advisor for The Nature Conservancy (TNC) World Office. Through the implementation of the largest environmental campaign in the world’s history—a $7 billion global campaign, TNC involved all 55 state and country programs.  Molly spent 3 years teaching and advising chapters around the world to successfully run their campaigns on local to global scales.

Molly’s experience also includes her role as the director of development for The Nature Conservancy-Wyoming Chapter, in Lander, WY for almost 10 years. In her tenure, she led the staff and board development teams who collectively completed a $42 million campaign in 2014 and set the stage for the Wyoming Chapter’s subsequent multimillion campaign. She has also served on the executive team at The National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS) for over 20 years.

Molly’s expertise includes her graduate school thesis, Leadership Education Experiences for Family Foundations, which focused on succession and leadership among family foundations and identification of leadership resources and experiences. Her volunteer experience includes the board of the PRBB Foundation with prior board experience through Project Adventure, Leave No Trace, and Association of Experiential Education Accreditation Council, among others.

Molly holds a Master’s degree in Nonprofit and Education Leadership from Prescott College and completed her undergraduate studies through Kirkland College, College of the Atlantic, and the University of Montana.
